Is Amazon Becoming A Monopoly That Needs To Be Broken Up?

This article addresses how large Amazon has become and peoples' concerns about its growth and control. Amazon continues increasing its presence in multiple markets all at once, resulting in its smaller competitors' failing businesses. The article quotes both the former CEO of Walmart, Bill Simon, and Donald Trump on their concerns and dislikes of Amazon's growing power.

Although I would have never imagined before that there'd be an issue where I'd actually agree with Donald Trump and a former CEO of a large, greedy corporation, here I am. I agree with both Trump and Simon that Amazon is destroying too many of its competitors and as it only grows stronger, it may begin monopolizing certain markets. Although both Simon and Trump almost certainly voiced their concerns from the point of view of business men who feel threatened, they did end up shedding light on something more people need to open their eyes up to. Amazon, like Walmart, is a large, greedy corporation that only looks to serve the top. They mistreat and underpay their factory workers meanwhile, Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world. It's corrupt and needs to be addressed, as well as the hypocrisy of Bill Simon and Donald Trump's comments regarding Amazon, considering they also come from positions of power where they abuse their power and control as well.
